About this journey
Thirteen days weighted towards the wild end of Zambia. Six of them on the Busanga Plains in Kafue — lion prides, cheetah and an optional dawn balloon flight over the floodplain — before the rivers. Fewer vehicles, longer horizons.

Arrive Lusaka
Arrive in Lusaka, transfer to a comfortable city hotel for overnight.
- Day 2
Fly to Kafue
Morning flight to Kafue National Park. Transfer to your bush camp. Afternoon game drive.
- Day 3
Kafue Safari
Full day exploring Kafue’s diverse habitats, from miombo woodlands to open plains.
- Day 4
Busanga Plains
Transfer deeper into the park to the famous Busanga Plains. Afternoon game drive.
- Day 5
Busanga Wildlife
Full day on the Busanga Plains, renowned for lion prides, cheetahs, and vast herds.
- Day 6
Busanga Continued
Morning hot air balloon safari (optional). Afternoon game drive.
- Day 7
Transfer to Lower Zambezi
Fly to Lower Zambezi National Park. Settle into your riverside camp.
- Day 8
Lower Zambezi Activities
Game drives, canoeing, and fishing in the Lower Zambezi.
- Day 9
River Safari
Full day of water-based activities including boat safaris and canoeing.
- Day 10
Fly to South Luangwa
Morning flight to South Luangwa. Afternoon game drive.

South Luangwa Safari
Full day exploring the Luangwa Valley’s incredible wildlife.
- Day 12
Walking Safari
Morning walking safari, afternoon game drive along the river.
- Day 13
Departure
Final morning activity. Fly to Lusaka for onward travel.
